The Franchise Business Festival this year was a chance for us to reconnect with industry players as well as meet potential franchisees. As a Cape Town based brand it is easy to loose contact with the industry as so much networking goes on in Gauteng. We were surprised by the interest we had and it was apparent that a large percentage of the people visiting our stand were keen to buy a franchise, we are close to awarding at least two franchises from the show. For Kauai to pick up the brand builder of the year award and to be one of three finalists for the franchisor of the year award was a real surprise and made being part of the festival that much more enjoyable.

To be perfectly honest, I was a little sceptical at first regarding the Franchise Business Festival’s new name, format and location but I was pleasantly surprised. Visitor numbers could have been a bit higher but at a festival of this nature, it’s definitely a case of quality over quantity. Those individuals who interacted with us know exactly what they wanted, quite unlike the Sandton Convention Centre experience where we came across far too many ‘tyre kickers’. During the last three weeks, since the conclusion of the FBF we finalised three franchise agreements all resulting from contacts made at the FBF. We’ll definitely be back next year!”

Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the Franchise Business Festival. The organisation of the event was excellent. The cost was very reasonable. The people attending the show was interested in buying a franchise and we receive a lot of leads to follow up. We will partake in a similar event organised by FASA again.

Cafe2go recently exhibited at the inaugural FBF and was very impressed with end-to-end professionalism of the FASA staff, the calibre of visitors at the festival…AND we got a few franchise sales under the belt. See you next year again!
